May 26th, 2013 - Clay traveled to Santa Maria Speedway (Santa Maria, California) over the weekend for the annual Santa Maria Nationals in his #32 Victory Circle by Moyer. Twenty-three competitors entered the event, and after qualifying sixth fastest in his group he started fourth in his heat race. A second place finish in the heat positioned him on the pole for the $2,000-to-win finale. He would go to finish third at the checkered flag behind race winner, Brad Pounds, and Mike Johnson.

On Saturday evening the second round of the Santa Maria Nationals was held as a $3,000-to-win top prize was posted. Twenty-three entries were once again on hand for the program, and he started the night by qualifying ninth fastest. Heat race action found him starting and finishing sixth, which forced him to the b-main, which he won to lock into the sixteenth starting spot for the finale. In the main event he advanced nine spots to a seventh place finish.

May 18th, 2013 - After taking a two week break Clay Daly traveled to Bakersfield Speedway (Bakersfield, California) on Saturday night for a $1,500-to-win race. Daly was riding on his brand-new, JRI Shocks, and in hot laps he recorded the fastest time. Time trials found him qualifying fourth fastest in the field, which resulted in him starting third on the grid for his heat race. After finishing third in his heat race he started on the pole of the dash and held off a hard-charging Brad Pounds for the win. His dash perofrmance positioned him starting third in the main event.

For the first forteen laps of the feature Daly battled side-by-side with Andy Obertello before taking control of the lead. Clay went on to lead the remainder of the feature despite a late race challenge from Pounds to claim his first win of the 2013 season! Pounds, Cody Barnett, Rob Sanders, and Nick Bartelts rounded out the top five finishers. Full results from the event are available at
